CWC coopted Com. Anupam Kaul of Delhi Circle as Asst General Secretary

Patna CWC in a resolution adopted declared that those erstwhile office bearers of NTR Circle who betrayed us and joined the rival organisation serving the interest against BSNL pensioners, no longer belong to AIBSNLPWA.

Further, CWC appointed an adhoc committee to hold the district conference Delhi Traffic branch and also to reorganise branches in Delhi and then hold Delhi Conference strictly according to the Constitution of AIBSNLPWA.

CWC DECIDED TO HOLD NEXT AIC IN SEPTEMBER 2018 IN PURI, Odisha. 

Number of delegates has to be limited to 1500.

LIFE MEMBERS CROSSES : 30,000

The number of Life Members of our Association, AIBSNLPWA, has crossed 30,000. Originally we had only annual members.In the end of 2011, the CWC discussed difficulties of collecting every year the membership from pensioners residing at distant places, and decided to enroll Life Members. Within six years, the number of Life Members has crossed 30,000. 

Tamilnadu and Chennai TD Circles together have 8000.

Andhra and Telengana together have 5700. 

Kerala has 3800.

Karnataka has 2800.

MP, Odisha and Punjab have crossed 1000 each.

This is the great response from BSNL pensioners.

This is the real reflection of their great confidence in AIBSNLPWA.

LIFE CERTIFICATES

This is the month of November. All are requested to submit the Life Certificate to the Pension Disbursing Authorities (Banks or Post Office as the case be) before 20-11-2017 itself.

Those who can use Jeevan Pramaan they can furnish the Life Certificate on line also.

In some Circles like Kerala, BSNL takes Life certificates for rent free telephone connections provided to pensioners.

It should also be done.

Kindly inform all pensioners.

PS:   Normally Banks want Life Certificate by 20th to feed the Data in their system before 30th. Even otherwise it is better we give it little advance

( 1 ) November is the month for EVERY PENSIONERS to give LIFE CERTIFICATE to bank or  Post Office from where he draws his/her Pension .  This can be done in the  home Bank Branch or Post Office from 1.11.17 to 30.11.17. If the pensioner failed to give LIFE CERTIFICATE,  then his/her  pension will be stopped from the next month.

Recently the Dept. of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has issued orders on 18.2.13 that the Life Certificates can be given in any one of the branches of that bank. The RBI also said that If  the pensioner is unable to visit the bank a representative should visit the pensioners house or hospital to get the certificate.  

In the process of submission of Life Certificate RBI has clarified as follows:

“Is it compulsory for a pensioner to furnish a Life Certificate/Non-Employment Certificate or Employment Certificate to the bank in the month of November?”

“Yes. The pensioner is required to furnish a Life Certificate/Non–Employment Certificate or Employment Certificate to the bank in the month of November every year. However, in case a pensioner is unable to obtain a Life Certificate from an authorized bank officer on account of serious illness / incapacitation, the bank official will visit his/her residence/ hospital for the purpose of recording the life certificate.”

             ( 2 )  All DOT & BSNL Retired pensioners have to    give LIFE                     CERTIFICATE for free LAND LINE TELEPHONE facility they                     are availing . It has to be given to the concerned Commercial                    Officer of the area. If the life certificate is not submitted                              between    1^st November to 30^th November,  then monthly rent                  for the Land Line Phone will be collected from the pensioner.

BSNL has issued relaxation orders for the handicapped pensioners who cannot appear in person before Commercial Officers.
